Book Week

May Road School has just celebrated Book Week. What a week! Andrea, our fabulous librarian, organised different activities for the children everyday, ending with a character parade before our Book Week assembly. She even wrote her own play - a version of The 3 Billy Goats Gruff - which was performed by the fabulous Geri, Razan, Sau and Helena.

Art Week - Collage Pirates

Last week was art week at May Road School. We also celebrated our PB4L pirate day. So, for art, Room 2 students made collage pirates. It was so much fun! First, students completed a draft drawing of their pirate, then drew shapes on different pieces of coloured paper. Students cut these out, arranged them then glued them onto a large piece of paper to make their pirate. The results were striking. Well done Room 2!!

Swimming

Room 2 students are lucky to have been swimming most days this term. At the moment, they are very lucky to have 2 wonderful swimming coaches in the water with them for 10 lessons. The development of water confidence and basic water safety skills has been wonderful to see.
